The Brazilian was in and out of the Reds' starting XI during the 2013-14 campaign, starting 20 matches and subsequently being restricted to a place on the standby list of his country's World Cup squad.

Lucas cooled talk of a move away from Anfield, however, pointing out that he remained under contract at Anfield having signed a new long-term deal in April 2013.

"I can say that at the moment I have received no offers," Lucas told FC Inter News. "Liverpool have never contacted me regarding this possibility [of a move to Inter].

"So I can't say there is a chance of me going to Inter, because I am under contract at Liverpool. Serie A definitely is a great league though."

Lucas, 27, has made 176 league appearances for Liverpool since his £5 million move from Gremio in 2007 and was named the club's player of the season for 2010-11.
