Inter director Piero Ausilio says that the Serie A giants are interested in luring Chelsea forward Fernando Torres to Italy this summer.

The 30-year-old has endured a turbulent time at Stamford Bridge since making a £50 milllion move from Liverpool in 2011 and looks set for a move away, with the Blues set to sign Diego Costa from his old club, Atletico Madrid, this summer.

Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic has already agreed terms for a move to the Italian side this summer and could be joined by the Chelsea forward but Ausilio says that a move will only happen if the Spaniard has the right "desire" to join Walter Mazzarri's team.

"Yes, he is a player we're following," he told reporters of Torres.

"Torres's career speaks for itrself - the titles he has won and the teams in which he has played.

"It's all about whether he has the right motivation and the desire to be part of a new ambitious project."
