The 22-year-old France youth international makes a fifth temporary move of his fledgling career after spending the previous season-and-a-half at Vitesse in the Eredivisie
The France youth international links up with a side who are battling poor form and are 10th in the Serie A table.
Kakuta, who joined the Stamford Bridge club from Lens in 2007, has spent the last season-and-a-half on loan at Vitesse.
The youngster made 40 appearances in his stint at the Eredivisie club as one of several Blues players to spend time there as a result of the two teams' partnership.
The loan move will be the fifth of Kakuta's career, with his time at Vitesse preceded by spells at Fulham, Bolton and Dijon.
Kakuta has made just 16 senior appearances for Chelsea.
