The former Manchester City midfielder arrives at Sam Allardyce's side on a short-term deal after leaving struggling Russian Premier League side Anzhi Makhachkala

West Ham have signed former Manchester City midfielder Abdul Razak.

The Ivory Coast international has moved to Upton Park on a short-term after leaving Russian Premier League side Anzhi Makhachkala.

Razak made 10 appearances in all competitions for City before departing for Russia and now joins Sam Allardyce's men in their battle against relegation.

He becomes the Hammers' fifth signing of the January transfer window, following Jaanai Gordon and the loan recruitments of Roger Johnson, Antonio Nocerino and Marco Boriello.

Despite a total of only 30 professional appearances for five previous clubs (including loans at Portsmouth, Brighton & Hove Albion and Charlton), Razak made his international debut in 2012 and featured in the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
