thumbnail Hello,

The Serie A outfit reveal that the versatile American midfielder is on his way back to Major League Soccer after one-and-a-half seasons representing the Giallorossi

Roma have reached an agreement with MLS over the transfer of Michael Bradley for a fee of $10 million (£6.1m) as the midfielder is set to join Toronto FC.

The USA international's agent had already revealed on Thursday that Bradley had agreed personal terms with Toronto and the transfer is now one step closer to completion following an announcement from the Giallorossi.

The Canadian side have yet to confirm the capture of the 26-year-old but are expected to finalise the deal over the weekend, having already secured the February arrival of Jermain Defoe from Tottenham.

Bradley started his professional career with MetroStars before making the move to Europe in January 2006 when he joined Heerenveen.

The midfielder had since also worn the jerseys of Borussia Monchengladbach, Aston Villa and Chievo before signing for Roma in the summer of 2012.

However, Bradley was deemed surplus to requirements by coach Rudi Garcia following the arrival of Radja Nainggolan earlier in January and has therefore opted to return to MLS.
