Hutchinson departs Chelsea to seal Vitesse loan

The right-sided defender, who spent 2012-13 with Nottingham Forest as he continues to rebuild his career following a brief, injury-enforced retirement, is heading to Netherlands
Chelsea right-back Sam Hutchinson has moved on loan to Dutch outfit Vitesse for the season.

The 24-year-old spent last year on loan at Championship side Nottingham Forest, with first-team opportunities hard to come by at Stamford Bridge.

Hutchinson had retired for a year and a half after suffering a serious knee injury in 2010 but the academy graduate, who has made six first-team appearances for the Blues, continues to rebuild his career with his latest move.

The defender joins new Blues signing Christian Atsu in joining Vitesse on loan before the transfer deadline.

Chelsea have also allowed Mexican midfielder Ulises Davila to go out on loan for a second season, this time to Spanish side Cordoba, after making 37 appearances with the Segunda Division team Sabadell last term.
