Ziegler leaves Juventus for Sassuolo

The Switzerland international has been farmed out on loan for the fourth time since his arrival in Turin in 2011, linking up with the newly promoted Serie A outfit
Juventus have announced on their official website that Reto Ziegler has left the club for Sassuolo on a one-year loan deal.

The newly promoted side were keen to add some more experience to their squad ahead of the 2013-14 campaign and had earmarked Ziegler as the ideal addition.

The 27-year-old joined Juventus from Sampdoria on a free transfer in the summer of 2011 but failed to make an impact at the reigning Serie A champions ever since as he was quickly deemed surplus to requirements by head coach Antonio Conte.

Ziegler spent the past two seasons on loan at Fenerbahce, Lokomotiv Moscow and again Fenerbahce before returning to Juve this summer.

The left-back previously wore the jerseys of Grasshopper, Tottenham, Hamburg and Wigan and will now be looking to get his career back on track at Sassuolo.
