Di Canio looking to do more business at Sunderland

The Black Cats boss reveals that the club have already made some "sacrifices" and he admits that he is still looking to bring in one or two new players into the squad
Sunderland manager Paolo Di Canio has revealed he is looking to bring in one or two new players before the Premier League season begins.

The Black Cats have already bought in nine players since the transfer window opened, including American Jozy Altidore from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar and goalkeeper Vito Mannone from Arsenal.

When asked by reporters in Hong Kong if he would be making any more additions to his squad during the transfer window, the Italian replied: "Of course.

"Obviously we know the board knows that we need something more. But I don't know if it's possible at the moment.

"We have already made some good signings and the club has made some sacrifices in some ways, they have spent some money.

"So I am happy, but obviously it would be better to bring in one or two other players, but we will see."
