The Everton manager is unconcerned by talk of interest from Arsenal and Manchester United in his key players, arguing that it is merely a mark of the club's progressEverton manager Roberto Martinez is unmoved by speculation linking key men Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines with moves away and insists that any interest should be taken as a compliment.
Goal exclusively revealed Arsenal's attempt to sign Fellaini while England left-back Baines has reportedly already been subject to a bid from former boss David Moyes at Manchester United.
While Martinez is adamant that he does not want to lose the star duo, he claims that such speculation is merely a sign of the club's strong recent performances.
"This is the moment of having speculation, having talks and clubs looking around," he told the Liverpool Echo.
"I see it as a real compliment - you don't get that if you don't perform well.
"We are Everton and we want to keep our best performers and we have got our own aims and that is very clear.
"We are not losing any sleep over that [speculation]. We are really focused and trying to work as well as we can as a group, making sure that every day counts towards where we want to get.
"The attitude of the group is exceptional and that is what excites me, looking forward to tomorrow and making sure we grow day by day."
