Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti has hinted that he could return to Italy this summer, but insisted that his future depends on his current club.
The 20-year-old former Pescara starlet has been repeatedly linked with a switch back to his homeland having impressed throughout les Parisiens' title-winning campaign last season, with Juventus and Napoli among those rumoured to be interested.
However, while the Italy international remains keen on remaining in the French capital for the moment, Verratti hinted that the decision could be taken out of his hands.
Speaking to Il Centro, he said: "A few clubs want me, but it isn't just down to myself. It depends on the club, too.
"I firmly believe in the project here [with PSG] and I'm a regular, which is ideal for me.
"However, I can say with certainty that I will play in the Italian championship in the future – I just don’t know whether that will be in a few weeks or a few years."
The 20-year-old rose through the ranks at the Delfini before moving to Parc de Princes last summer.
