The Republic of Ireland international is currently a free agent having seen out his contract at Aston Villa and could be signed as a replacement for Christopher Samba
Harry Redknapp is in the hunt for a centre-back following the sale of Christopher Samba to Anzhi Makhachkala, and the Republic of Ireland international is a free agent following the expiration of his Aston Villa contract.
Though a deal is yet to be settled, QPR chief executive Phil Beard has admitted that Redknapp is keen on acquiring the defender, as well as a number of other players.
He told the Fulham Chronicle: "He's [Dunne] not signed yet but he's a player that Harry would like to bring to the club.
"We're looking at a number of players. The main thing is that they want to play for the club and are ready for the Championship, which is very different to the Premier League."
