The 25-year-old became the Canaries' fourth signing of the summer after joining for an undisclosed fee on Wednesday and his representative claims that more teams were in for him

Martin Olsson's agent has revealed that Norwich City had to fight off competition from a number of other suitors in order to seal his signature from Blackburn.

The Sweden international signed a four-year deal on Wednesday, moving to Carrow Road for an undisclosed fee, snubbing rumoured interest from Russian club Kuban Krasnodar.

Hasan Cetinkaya told Expressen: "It's a step in the right direction for Martin, both football-wise and financially. He joins a club which is investing and with a good atmosphere.

"There was big interest, both in England and other leagues, but Blackburn didn't want to sell in the past."

The 25-year-old is the Canaries' fourth signing of the summer, joining Ricky van Wolfswinkel, Nathan Redmond and Javier Garrido in linking up with manager Chris Hughton.
