thumbnail Hello,

The Uruguay international has made no secret of his desire to leave the Merseyside club this summer, and refused to rule out a switch to Arsene Wenger's side

Luis Suarez has admitted he is flattered by Arsenal's interest and claims Liverpool are aware of his desire to leave the club this summer.

The 26-year-old, who has been heavily linked with a move away from Anfield after confirming his wish to quit the Premier League in May, confirmed he will report to pre-season training with Brendan Rodgers' side on July 21 but says his future remains uncertain.

Goal reported on Sunday that Arsenal made a speculative enquiry to Liverpool about the availability of the Uruguayan, but were knocked back by the Merseyside club.

“There have been no offers yet, but Liverpool know exactly what is going on and what I want,” Suarez told Uruguayan radio station Sport 890.

“My agent is in charge, he knows what I want, I am resting and relaxed. I am due back in about ten days, on the 21st of July, [but] a phone call could change everything.

“It is good to know that I am still valued by teams like Arsenal. Friends call me up to ask if I am moving to Chelsea, to which I laugh.”

Suarez cited his treatment by the British media as the main cause for his desire to leave Anfield, but Liverpool have remained steadfast in their refusal to sell him.

The striker was the club's top goalscorer last season, netting 23 times in the Premier League, and was included in the PFA Team of the Year for his performances in the 2012-13 season.
