Kalou in no rush to leave Lille despite West Brom interest

The Ivory Coast international admits the Premier League is an "attractive" option and lauded the Baggies, but insists he is happy to see out his contract with his current club
Lille midfielder Salomon Kalou says he is in no rush to leave France despite interest from West Brom.

5/1 West Brom are 5/1 with Paddy Power to be relegated next season
The 26-year-old, who spent six seasons with Chelsea in the Premier League, says he is happy in Ligue 1 and any decision over his future will be made by his current club.

However, Kalou admitted he finds the Premier League an attractive option, and was enthusiastic about West Brom, but remained coy on his future.

"There is some interest in me in England but, to be honest, I am enjoying my time at Lille as much as I can," he told reporters.

"However, it is not just my choice. West Brom are a very good club, with good players. The Premier League is attractive but I have a contract here."

The Ivory Coast international has a £2.6 million release clause which the Baggies must meet if they are to sign him.

Steve Clarke has so far completed the signing of Nicolas Anelka on a free transfer while the club have also been linked with a move for Lyon forward Jimmy Briand.
