The 25-year-old has been targeted by Martin Jol following an impressive debut season in English football, but Kenny Jackett has hinted that a bid is yet to be accepted

Wolves boss Kenny Jackett has revealed midfielder Bakary Sako is in discussions with Fulham over a move to Craven Cottage.

The 25-year-old impressed during his debut season in English football but expressed his desire to move to a Premier League side following Wolves' relegation to League One.

Jackett admitted he expected Sako to leave following the club's second successive demotion, but hinted that no offer from Martin Jol's side has been accepted yet.

"Fulham are genuinely interested in Sako and now it is about negotiations between the two clubs," he told Birmingham Mail.

"As far as I know no fee has been agreed yet, but they are in negotiations. I don't know if it is close. The offer's at a very high level, whether it is at a point where the powers that be at Wolves want to accept that or not is another matter.

"He's not one I thought would necessarily be with us in League One at the start."
