The Eindhoven giants bring the 21-year-old back to his homeland for an undisclosed fee, while the Blues retain first option to buy him back in the future.

The Dutchman had been at Stamford Bridge since 2007 but failed to break into the Premier League side's first-team setup.

Bruma made just nine first-team appearances for Chelsea in the six years that he spent at the club and passed the last three seasons on loan at Leicester City and Hamburg.

The Bundesliga side decided against pursuing the centre-back on a permanent deal, leaving the door open for PSV to secure his services.
