QPR goalkeeper Julio Cesar has left the door open for interest from Serie A, certain that his past at Inter would not prevent him joining other Italian clubs.

As revealed by Goal, Arsenal have approached the Rs over a move for the Brazil international goalkeeper, who is expected to depart the West London side this summer as the club look to trim their wage bill following relegation to the Championship.

The 33-year-old, who the Champions League, Serie A title and Coppa Italia all in one season with the Nerazzurri, says that he will decide on his future after the Selecao's participation in the Confederations Cup is complete.

"I played for Inter but this doesn't preclude my return to Italy," Cesar told Gazzetta dello Sport.

"My agent is working on my future but it's better to talk about it after the Confederations Cup."

Brazil face Uruguay on Wednesday in Belo Horizonte in their semi-final, while the tournament finishes on Sunday with the winner facing either Italy or Spain in the final.
