Former Chelsea midfielder Florent Malouda believes Jose Mourinho will turn the club into title contenders once again.
The Frenchman was Mourinho's penultimate signing before the Portuguese left Stamford Bridge in September 2007 after falling out with the club's owner Roman Abramovich.
After spells at Inter and Real Madrid, the 50-year-old has returned for a second stint at Chelsea and Malouda feels the club will make significant progress next season.

“Though Mourinho did not fare too well at Madrid he is the right man for the Chelsea job and can push the club to win more titles.
"He has been there before and he knows the players, the fans, the management and of course the Premier League terrain so well, so it will not be a problem for him."
Malouda was released by Chelsea this summer after being forced to train with the youth team for the whole of last season.
But despite his relegation from the first team, Malouda says he is proud of his achievements at Stamford Bridge.
"Jose Mourinho knew about what happened and we have already talked," he said.
"I am leaving this great club with my head high as I have done my part. I will always remember my time there; it was great to achieve a lot with them.
"I won league trophies, Champions League, FA Cup, and other trophies here. I was not surprised when my name came on the released players' list as I had been frozen out of the first team during my last year."
