The former Inter player seems destined to make the move to the Rossoneri this summer after sporting director Carlo Osti revealed negotiations are at an advanced stageSampdoria sporting director Carlo Osti has admitted that Andrea Poli is likely to continue his career at AC Milan as both clubs are in advanced talks over a summer transfer.
The midfielder, 23, has long been linked with a move to a bigger club and had also caught the attention of Juventus.
However, he seems destined to continue his career at Milan following Osti's latest comments on a potential summer move.
"We are in advanced talks with Milan over the transfer of Poli," the Sampdoria director said to Sportitalia.
"Things slowed down a bit because they had to make a decision about their coach, but things can now take off again. Poli deserves a club of the highest level."
Poli's current contract with Samp runs until June 2014, but the Genoa side are ready to cash in on the Italy international for €6.5 million (£5.5m).
