The Bayer Leverkusen sporting director admits talks are ongoing and that Chelsea remain interested in the forward, but says no agreement has yet been reached

Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Rudi Voller insists there is "nothing to report" with regards to Andre Schurrle's proposed move to Chelsea but admits the Blues remain interested in the forward.

The 22-year-old has been strongly linked with a switch to Stamford Bridge this summer and told reporters at Michael Ballack's farewell match earlier in the week that he would "wait and see what happens".

Schurrle played for the World XI in the charity friendly in Leipzig and was managed by recently re-appointed Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho.

"There is nothing to confirm," Voller told reporters at Ballack's game. "Of course, we talked about it, but there is nothing to report. The interest from Chelsea is there. Let's wait."

Bayer general manager Wolfgang Holzhauser previously confirmed that a deal was in place to sell Schurrle to Chelsea but complications appear to have arisen regarding the possible exchange of Kevin de Bruyne.

Holzhauser said the midfielder would join Bayer on a season-long loan, but Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc claims the 21-year-old wants to join the Champions League finalists.
