The Belgium international insists that he is "going nowhere" as he prepares to mount a renewed assault on the Premier League title following Manchester United's triumphManchester City captain Vincent Kompany insists that he is staying put this summer.
After a disappointing trophyless season and signs of discontent between the Belgian and recently sacked manager Roberto Mancini, there had been speculation that the centre-back might want to move on.
But Kompany wrote on Twitter: "Speculations and questions about next season. I'm not going anywhere.
"I love playing for City and I've still got some unfinished business."
The 27-year-old arrived at the Etihad Stadium in 2008 and lifted the Premier League trophy in 2011-12, having been made captain by Mancini at the start of the season.
