The Turkish winger's representative says his client is important to the club and has no intention of returning to his homeland despite rumours to the contrary
The winger, 26, moved to the Spanish capital from Galatasaray two years ago but has since been linked with a move away from the club.
Rumours that he was close to sealing a return to Istanbul have circulated of late but Ahmet Bulut insists his client has no intention of returning to his homeland right now.
"Arda is a valuable player to the team," he told reporters.
"The board does not want to sell him. We will talk to the board soon about his future. But we don't have any plans to return to Turkey."
Arda won the Europa League last season with Atleti and added the European Super Cup and Copa del Rey to his medal collection this term.
His current contract at the Vicente Calderon runs June 2015 having cost €15.5 million [£13.2m] in August 2011.
