The Rossoneri vice-president has denied rumours that the 35-year-old could be on his way to San Siro, citing his side's preference for younger players
Reports on Tuesday from Spain claimed that the Blaugrana captain was considering a move away from Camp Nou this summer, a rumour that the 35-year-old was keen to dismiss as false on Wednesday.
And the Rossoneri vice-president has also stressed that he is not interested in signing the Spain international due to the club's preference for young players.
“There is nothing with regards to Puyol, I can assure you of that,” Galliani is quoted as saying by El Mundo Deportivo.
"Carles is a good friend of Milan, he likes our colours, but right now veteran players are not part of our plans.
"Although we recognise the great value of Puyol, we are thinking of youngsters. That is our philosophy for next season and our future in general.
"Anyway, as far as I know, Puyol has no intention of leaving Barcelona. The rest is just fantasy football."
The defender, who is currently out of action with a knee injury that he picked up against Milan in March, signed a new contract which expires in 2016 earlier in the season.
