The Rs boss expects his Brazilian goalkeeper to leave this summer, with the England international set to inherit his regular starting berth after a year on the bench

QPR manager Harry Redknapp expects that goalkeeper Julio Cesar will lead the exodus out of Loftus Road this summer, with Robert Green to be promoted in his place.

The 66-year-old has confirmed that the Brazil international will be on his way out as the relegated side look to shed some of their colossal wage bill before attempting to climb out of the Championship next season.

Green was signed by Mark Hughes last summer but spent most of the 2012-13 as understudy to Cesar, who was recruited shortly afterwards.

Redknapp told the London Evening Standard: "I don't see Julio being here next year — he's not a player for the Championship. He's a player for a top Italian or Spanish or Premier League team.

"Julio's got the World Cup coming up and he's the top Brazilian keeper. Rob's come in and done great for me. He's the one we're looking to play next season."

Arsenal, AC Milan and Roma are among the clubs to have been linked with relieving QPR of Cesar's £90,000-per-week wages.
