But things have not gone as expected since his summer move to the capital, with Hoilett struggling for form in a season plagued by turbulent management and a series of hamstring injuries.
The 22-year-old came close to a transfer in January, as part of failed move to bring Peter Odemwingie to Loftus Road, but the winger remains tight-lipped over the collapsed deal or any potential move elsewhere whilst the season is still in progress.
“I know what it sounds like, but I don't want to talk about it or anything to do with it," Hoilett told the Fulham Chronicle.
"Of course I want to stay in the top flight - every player does, but that's for the future after the last few games.
"It's been a tough time, there's no doubt. But all I can do is learn from the situation and come back stronger.
"Yeah, I would agree my form has dipped, but that's not entirely surprising given the circumstances - but you can't look back."
