The experienced defender's current contract expires at the end of the season, but he insists a move away from San Siro is far from his thoughts
The defender's current deal runs out at the end of the 2012-13 season, but Bonera says he feels respected at San Siro and insists he is not considering a departure this summer.
"I know that I'm a well respected figure at Milan, because they have told me so several times. After seven years at this club, my priority is to stay put," Bonera was quoted as saying by La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"I feel at home at Milan and I'm keen to stay here. We have a nice project with youngsters here and I want to help with my experience.
"I'm focused on finishing the season in third place and we'll then talk with the club to find a solution."
Bonera, 31, has made well over 100 Serie A appearances for Milan since joining the club from Parma in the summer of 2006.
