West Brom keeper Daniels signs new contract

The 25-year-old has extended his current deal with the Hawthorns club up to the summer of 2015 despite finding himself third in the pecking order behind Ben Foster and Boaz Myhill
West Brom goalkeeper Luke Daniels has signed a new deal with the Premier League side that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2015.

The 25-year-old is yet to make a first team appearance, finding himself behind both Ben Foster and Boaz Myhill in Steve Clarke's plans.

However, the manager is confident enough in his potential that he has offered the extended contract.

"He has shown great loyalty to the club since he joined our Academy as a younger and has developed into a very promising goalkeeper," West Brom sporting and technical director Richard Garlick told reporters.

"He is an important part of what has become a strong goalkeeping department at the club and he continues to progress well under the guidance of Dean Kiely."
