The 19-year-old had been heavily linked with the Italian giants in various media outlets, prompting the player's representative, Rinaldo Sagramola, to deny the rumours.
"There is no story," the Argentina Under-20 international's spokesman told Radio Kiss Kiss. "In fact, we are working for a [contract] renewal with Sampdoria.
"We have expressed no interest in a move to Inter, or Napoli for that matter.
"It is useless for Mauro to join a club that may offer him more money, but that stunts his growth as a footballer."
Icardi is currently Sampdoria's top scorer in Serie A, having scored eight goals this season.
