Tottenham youngster Pritchard joins Peterborough on loan

The 19-year-old, who has featured regularly for Spurs' NextGen side, will spend the rest of the season with the Championship outfit as they look to stave off relegation
Peterborough have snapped up promising Tottenham winger Alex Pritchard on loan until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old has impressed for Spurs in the NextGen Series this season, particularly in the stunning 4-1 win over Barcelona, and has attracted strong interest from Liverpool.

But the attacking midfielder – compared by some to Tottenham’s star man Gareth Bale – has moved down to the Championship as Posh aim to drag themselves from the bottom of the league table.

Pritchard caught the eye of Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson after bagging four goals in 20 minutes in Spurs' 8-1 youth friendly win over Posh.

The youngster joined the academy at White Hart Lane in 2009 and scored four goals in seven NextGen matches during the 2011-12 season.

He was picked in Andre Villas-Boas' senior squad for the Europa League trip to PAOK in September 2011.
