thumbnail Hello,

The QPR defender, who has made just nine Premier League appearances this season, flew to Istanbul on Sunday to discuss a potential loan switch until the end of the season

QPR defender Anton Ferdinand is in Turkey for talks with Super Lig outfit Bursaspor over a possible loan deal.

The centre-back, who featured as the Rs were knocked out of the FA Cup by League One outfit MK Dons on Saturday, flew to Istanbul Ataturk Airport to meet representatives of the club on Sunday evening.

Upon arrival, he told Dogan News Agency: “I am happy to be here. We will meet Bursaspor representatives in Monday. Nothing concrete for now.”

The 27-year-old has made 40 Premier League appearances for QPR since joining the club from Sunderland in 2011, but just nine of those have come this season.

Bursaspor, who have former England goalkeeper Scott Carson amongst their ranks, are currently sixth in the Turkish top flight, nine points behind leaders Galatasaray.
