The Netherlands midfielder has claimed that he agreed to join the Turkish club to compete for honours amid reported Premier League interest from the Reds and QPR
Galatasaray-bound midfielder Wesley Sneijder has claimed that he chose to snub reported advances from Liverpool and QPR because he would have more chance of competing for honours in Turkey.
The defending Super Lig champions announced on Sunday evening that they had agreed a deal to sign the Netherlands midfielder from Inter.

Goal.com exclusively reported, meanwhile, that Liverpool were preparing an offer for the 28-year-old after Joe Cole and Nuri Sahin left Anfield.
When asked by De Telegraaf why he elected to join Galatasaray despite the interest of the Premier League duo, however, Sneijder said: "I want to play for titles."
Sneijder will undergo a medical before completing his move to Turkey on Monday and could make his debut in the Istanbul derby against Besiktas on January 27.
