The striker has defended his move to the relegation-threatened side, insisting that his relationship with Harry Redknapp and the ambition of the club was key to his decision
The 26-year-old rebuffed an initial approach by the Rs earlier in January, with Newcastle United seemingly closing in on his signature.
However, a change of heart saw Remy complete a club record £8 million move to Loftus Road on Wednesday - and the striker has since denied that an attractive financial package convinced him to join the relegation-threatened side.
"It’s true that I hesitated between Newcastle and QPR," Remy said at his official unveiling.

"I met the staff at Newcastle and the time came when I had to make a decision.
"The finance didn’t come into it, because Newcastle offered me a very good contract as well. It’s in no way a decision based on financial reasons. It was not based on money in any way.
"I made the decision based on two factors. First, I knew Harry Redknapp and secondly I’m really excited about the project here.
"I think Harry is someone who can get me to improve as a footballer both technically and tactically. He can help me progress.
"I already knew the coach because he followed me before and it’s my dream to play in the Premier League.”
Remy has received international clearance and is available to make his debut for QPR when the team travel to face West Ham on Saturday.
