The Reds Devils have confirmed their interest in the Crystal Palace youngster, after Goal.com revealed the clubs were in talks, but any potential move will wait until the summerManchester United chief executive David Gill has confirmed the Red Devils interest in Crystal Palace youngster Wilfried Zaha, but admits any move for the England international will wait until the summer.
The admission comes after Goal.com exclusively revealed earlier this week that both the Premier League leaders and Arsenal were set to hold talks with Crystal Palace as they both try to thrash out a deal to bring the highly-coveted forward to their respective clubs.
And when speaking to Sky Sports News at the Football Association’s 150th anniversary celebrations, Gill admitted that the Manchester club were interested in Zaha, but refused to drawn on how close the club were to agreeing a deal with the Eagles.
"He's one of the players we're looking at. That's all I'd say at the moment,” said Gill.
"But even if we did do something with Wilfried Zaha, that would be for the summer."
"He's one of the players we're looking at and we'll see what happens. There's a long way to go."
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson was at Palace’s FA Cup third round replay against Stoke City on Tuesday night, where he saw Zaha, who is a boyhood Arsenal fan, win a penalty as he proved a constant threat to the Potters' back four before he was withdrawn at half-time.
