Central Coast Mariners deny that Rogic is joining QPR

The A-League club have denied reports that the 20-year-old Australian midfielder is heading to Loftus Road, saying no concrete bid has been made by the Premier League side
Central Coast Mariners' director of football Lawrie McKinna has stated that attacking midfielder Tom Rogic is not set to join QPR, claiming that no concrete offer has been made by the Premier League side.

Harry Redknapp's side were reported to have tabled a bid for the youngster, who has been on a three-day trial with Celtic recently during the club's winter break in Spain.

According to McKinna, QPR contacted the Mariners with a request for Rogic to go on trial with them, but the director says that no offer has been made.

"All the Mariners have had is a letter from them asking for Tom to come and trial and we rejected that," he told the Sydney Morning Herald.

"We did have an enquiry from a UK agent with Tommy coming to trial, which was great, but we said he wouldn't be going to trial. That's all it's been."

QPR are looking to add to their squad following a poor first half of the Premier League season which sees them bottom of the table with 14 points from 22 games and only two wins.
