Premier League Preview: Hull City - Wolverhampton Wanderers
Potential six-pointer at lower end of the division...
By Alan Dawson
KC Stadium, Hull
Going into Saturday's fixture, a tie that could have potential ramifications in the relegation dogfight, Hull City endured an energy-sapping and demoralising 4-0 capitulation against Manchester United or, more specifically, Wayne Rooney.
Wolverhampton Wanderers, on the other hand, managed to shut Liverpool out from their goal and earned a point.
Both sides have found scoring a hard task, but concessions have been bountiful.
Noting this tie's importance, Wolves boss McCarthy said: "Hull is a game we can't afford to lose. It is a massive game against one of the teams around us."
Brown, meanwhile, has targetted eight wins from the rest of the games available in the Premier League season in order to guarantee top flight status. A tall order, but he, along with his Tigers, will be viewing the Wolves clash as one of those where a win is an obtainable target.
"The results we've got at the KC Stadium this season have been all about getting on the front foot," Brown said recently. "It's been 4-4-2, playing football, trying to entertain the crowd when possible, and showing a resilience to keep clean-sheets. All of those things will be on show here.
"We've got nine out of 16 games at home now and without looking beyond Wolves, you would suggest there are points to be had and that's the attitude we've got to show," Brown added. "To be safe we might have to win half our games.
"The pressure is on everyone at this stage of the season. There's going to be mouth-watering affairs in the next week for different reasons."

TEAM NEWS
Hull City
Recent loan recruit Amr Zaki may be prevented from making his debut due to a hamstring problem.
Dean Marney (calf) and Jimmy Bullard (knee) are almost fully recovered yet the Wolves clash may be too soon a game to cement their returns in.
Ian Ashbee is out for the rest of the season.
Last starting XI (vs. Manchester United): Myhill, McShane, Gardner, Zayatte, Dawson, Boateng, Barmby, Garcia, Geovanni, Hunt, Fagan.
Wolverhampton Wanderers
Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Mick McCarthy is likely to be without the services of a quartet of his first team squad players, including: Stefan Maierhofer (groin), David Edwards (foot), Andy Keogh (ankle), Matt Murray (knee).
However, the availability of Michael Kightly may be made on the day, as the midfielder is approaching completion of a full recovery.
Last starting XI (vs. Liverpool): Hahnemann, Zubar, Craddock, Berra, Ward, Mancienne, Foley, Henry, Milijas, Jarvis, Doyle.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Hull City
Tigers glovesman Boaz Myhill has looked strong-pawed in a number of Premier League games this season, however, consistency has sometimes been an issue. On form, though, Myhill is a grand shot-stopper.
Wolverhampton Wanderers
Irishman Kevin Doyle is enjoying a strong return to the Premier League having returned five goals already for Wolves. If he continues to fire, then he could have a fine say in where Mick McCarthy's side end up next season.
