France duo Franck Ribery & William Gallas 'bitter’ at Raymond Domenech

Scale of les Bleus' distaste for former coach becoming more apparent...
Laurent Davenas, a member of the panel appointed by the FFF (French FA) to oversee the investigation into France’s embarrassing World Cup campaign, has revealed that Franck Ribery and William Gallas were particularly bitter against former coach Raymond Domenech.

Ribery and Gallas were amongst five senior players called to speak in front of the commission to give their version of events, and Davenas has unsurprisingly revealed that they had a disdain for their former trainer.

“In interviews with the players, all were accurate in their words,” Davenas explained to the AFP news agency.

“Moreover, they are all pretty bitter against their former coach, Raymond Domenech. Two in particular. Those were Franck Ribery and William Gallas.

“From my point of view, these two players have been left free to do things. But they let go because they were not satisfied with the way they were treated by their coach.

“Anyway, there was a complete breakdown between the group and Raymond Domenech.”

Such a revelation is hardly a surprise for followers of les Bleus, who watched France crumble embarrassingly in South Africa.
