Spain midfield duo Xabi Alonso and Sergio Busquets were overjoyed after la Furia Roja defeated Netherlands to claim the 2010 World Cup.
Andres Iniesta got the only goal of the game in the second half of extra-time, prompting Alonso to label the Barcelona man as his nomination for the tournament's Golden Ball.
"It's incredible. It's difficult to expain, it's a euphoria, a joy.... Andres Iniesta is the Golden Ball," said the Real Madrid player to AS after the match.
Barcelona player Busquets took the opportunity to dedicate the win to his family and friends, saying that he cannot wait to get back to Spain and celebrate the World and European champions' historic success.
