Brazil duo Maicon and Josue are expecting a tough World Cup quarter-final against Netherlands after they strolled to a comfortable 3-0 win over Chile in the round of 16.

Goals from Juan, Luis Fabiano and Robinho gave the Selecao a facile win over their fellow South Americans to set up a mouthwatering clash with the Oranje for a place in the semi-finals.

"Winning is always important. It gives us confidence to win like this in an important match like this one, in the round of 16 of the World Cup," in-demand Inter defender Maicon told a press conference.

"Holland is very strong on defence. It will be a tough match. We will study them so we won't be surprised and we will have a good match. Everyone knows Holland and their great players. We will have to make a good match to go through."

Team-mate Josue, who didn't feature against la Roja said all players within the Brazil squad will be ready if called upon for what e sees as a difficult game against the Dutch.

"Ramires is suspended. There are four days before the next match and we will see what happens. We have to be prepared, everyone, to play," he remarked.

"We know every player from Holland, as they are famous players that are in big European clubs. There is no mystery there. Now we have to rest and get ready for Friday."
