World Cup 2010: FIFA to investigate Jabulani World Cup ball

Controversial ball to be examined...
FIFA have admitted that they will be looking into complaints made about the infamous Jabulani World Cup ball.

The controversial ball has been criticised by several players for its unpredictable flight including England number one David James.

England manager Fabio Capello described the Jabulani as “the worst ball that I have seen in my life."

Many players have likened the Adidas manufactured ball to a “supermarket” ball and its unique flight has also been blamed for the lack of spectacular long-range goals at the World Cup.

"We're not deaf," FIFA secretary general Jerome Valcke said. "FIFA is not unreceptive about what has been said about the ball."

FIFA are said to be planning on meeting with coaches and Adidas after the World Cup to discuss the issues raised.
