World Cup 2010: England to wear 'lucky' red again against Germany

Three Lions hope to be inspired by echoes of the past...
England are set to don their all-red away kit once more when they face Germany in Bloemfontien on Saturday, FIFA have confirmed.

As the designated 'away' team England were always going to be compelled to change from their all-white home kit.

However, the Three Lions have also opted to wear red shorts again rather than the white ones which are usually worn with the red shirt.

The all-red strip was worn when the team beat Slovenia this week to seal a place in the second round.

Meanwhile, England are set to hold their final pre-match training session at their base at Rustenburg rather than at the stadium in Bloemfontein.

The state of the pitch is once again an issue at the Free State Stadium with neither team allowed to train at the ground in the 24 hours before kick-off.
