World Cup 2010: England defender Jamie Carragher 'totally understands' jeers from supporters after Algeria draw
Liverpool veteran admits he has no problem with fans booing at full-time...
By Adam Scime
Although Wayne Rooney blasted the travelling support after the game, Carragher admitted that he understood why the supporters were jeering.
"I totally understand, I have no problem with supporters at the end of the game venting their frustration," he said during the mixed zone after the match, where Goal.com UK's Amar Singh was present.
"If it happens during the game I don't think that's right, but I totally understand at the end of the game. They've come here and paid.
"We've got more fans than anyone here and it makes for a good atmosphere. We all want England to do well, the players, the staff, the media, the fans so I don't think its about letting one set of people down - we all win together and we lose together."
The Liverpool defender still believes that the England side can qualify from their group - but that it will not be an easy task.
"The World Cup is massive for us and its massive for these other teams too," he added.
"We always say there are no easy games and the world cup has high stakes for everyone - we're all battling. I never ever envisaged it would be easy to get through the group."
