Goal.com Top of the Match sponsored by Turkish Airlines: Lionel Messi (Argentina)
Another Argentine No. 10 steals the show...
By Stefan Coerts
There had been worries that ‘El Mesias’ would not be at the top of his game for the World Cup, but after matches against Nigeria and South Korea that certainly doesn’t seem to be the case.
He made several telling dribbles and intelligent passes against South Korea, playing a big hand in setting up all four goals.
Messi might be a bit disappointed that he has yet to score his first goal at the 2010 World Cup, but this certainly didn't stop Goal.com's worldwide team of editors from picking Argentina's number ten as the Man of the Match in his side's 4-1 win against South Korea.

Many might have expected Gonzalo Higuain to be the top candidate for the Man of the Match award after the Real Madrid striker scored three goals to lead his side to a 4-1 win against the Asians, but the fans were clearly more impressed with the performance of Lionel Messi on the afternoon and agreed with the choice of Goal.com's team of editors.
