World Cup 2010: Jan Molby confident Denmark can cause Netherlands problems
Ex-Liverpool star hopeful Danes can upset Dutch
By John Duerden
Denmark meet Netherlands in their first match at the 2010 World Cup today and Goal.com spoke with former Danish international Jan Molby about Danish Dynamite's chances against the group favourites.
"To win is a big ask. We are playing against a very good team but when people say that this is a tough game for us they need to remember that we are accustomed to these kinds of games. We are used to being the underdogs, we have a knack of getting the right results," said Molby to Goal.com.
"We have an experienced coach and an experienced squad and we can give the Dutch problems. We have weaknesses of course, but in the areas where you need to be strong against the Dutch then we are strong. For example, we have exceptional central defenders.
"We know that our problem is that if we need to score goals, we don’t score many. We will miss Nicklas Bendtner, but it is a wise decision. Our two big games will come up next.
"We would be delighted with a draw. We will play cautiously I am sure at the beginning; the way Holland play forces you to do so. Most teams are the same. If Holland find their form and play as well as they can then it is going to be very tough for us, but it is our job to make sure they don't.
"Of course Wesley Sneijder and Robin van Persie are great players in attack but I am not sure about how good Holland are at the back."

"But, we came through. Obviously there were a lot of changes so it's good to get the result.
"Belgium are a very, very strong side who are going to be really good in the future. Vincent [Kompany] told me about them and said that they were coming good and I totally agree with him."
"[Gary] Cahill I suppose is slightly more of a concern for me because it is a jaw injury. We're desperately hoping the CT scan doesn't show any fracture and it's just going to be a bruising situation, which will be bad enough, but won't stop him taking part in the tournament. As far as John's [Terry] concerned he felt his hamstring a little bit. Again it wasn't a major thing when he came off but we still need to scan it just to be 100 per cent sure."
Suffice to say, if Cahill has broken his jaw, he won't play any part in the tournament.
