Goal.com UK takes a look at the unfortunate headline grabber, after his costly spill...
Green left red-faced by worst England blunder ever
The Sunday Mirror
"Green had a simple shot to deal with – and his basic technique was found to be embarrassingly wanting."

SHOCK 'N' DRAW | News Of The World
"Green's howler let the Americans back into the match before half-time and cost England the three points."
Robert Green is not Fabio Capello's biggest problem for England
The Telegraph
On Green...
"If he is to drop him now, he may as well send him straight home. He will certainly not play again in this tournament, and that could even be the death knell for his international career."
On the deeper issue...
"[The] Immediate concern, though, should be with eliminating the outfield problems which led to Green’s mistake. That is not to absolve him of blame, of course, but even before the United States scored, there was sufficient evidence to suggest that all was not well defensively."
Nonetheless, reports in the Mail On Sunday suggest that Rob Green will be dropped for England’s next match against Algeria...

'Shocking' | Mail On Sunday's 'keeper vedict
"...the damage has been done and his howler means either David James or Joe Hart is set to wear the gloves in England's must-win showdown with Algeria..."
Tainted Glove
The Mirror
"Calamity keeper Robert Green gifted one of the alltime blunder goals last night as the jinx of the England goalies struck yet again."
Hosted by Joe Doyle
"But, we came through. Obviously there were a lot of changes so it's good to get the result.
"Belgium are a very, very strong side who are going to be really good in the future. Vincent [Kompany] told me about them and said that they were coming good and I totally agree with him."
"[Gary] Cahill I suppose is slightly more of a concern for me because it is a jaw injury. We're desperately hoping the CT scan doesn't show any fracture and it's just going to be a bruising situation, which will be bad enough, but won't stop him taking part in the tournament. As far as John's [Terry] concerned he felt his hamstring a little bit. Again it wasn't a major thing when he came off but we still need to scan it just to be 100 per cent sure."
Suffice to say, if Cahill has broken his jaw, he won't play any part in the tournament.
