And the Dutch star, who scored twice in the win over Hungary, admitted his relief at the scan results.
Speaking to Studio Voetbal, Robben announced: "Today I had the scan and it's just a small tear in my left hamstring. It's the first time I have a injury on that spot of my leg.
"The last 24 hours I have had so much support from all the people around me and that had an positive effect on me.
"After the injury I went to the locker room for a first diagnose which was very difficult. But it was clear that it wasn't good because I had a lot of pain.
Robben added: "If I just let it heal than I'm back on the field in 4 - 6 weeks, but we don't have so much time. Dick van Toorn is gonna help me.
"Tommorrow morning at 07:30 I'll meet him and were gonna work incredible hard. I'm gonna fight till I drop!"
Head coach Bert van Marwijk had earlier confirmed that he would not be replacing the Bayern man, and that he will wait for him to join up with the rest of squad once he has recovered.
"I have decided not to summon any substitute for Arjen," Van Marwijk told broadcaster NOS.
"I want to give him every chance to still participate in the World Cup."
The former Chelsea and Real Madrid attacker is unlikely to feature in the opening fixture against Denmark on June 14 however.

"But, we came through. Obviously there were a lot of changes so it's good to get the result.
"Belgium are a very, very strong side who are going to be really good in the future. Vincent [Kompany] told me about them and said that they were coming good and I totally agree with him."
"[Gary] Cahill I suppose is slightly more of a concern for me because it is a jaw injury. We're desperately hoping the CT scan doesn't show any fracture and it's just going to be a bruising situation, which will be bad enough, but won't stop him taking part in the tournament. As far as John's [Terry] concerned he felt his hamstring a little bit. Again it wasn't a major thing when he came off but we still need to scan it just to be 100 per cent sure."
Suffice to say, if Cahill has broken his jaw, he won't play any part in the tournament.
