Footage of the 22-year-old in happier times was released after it was confirmed he was one of the 76 passengers who lost their lives after Monday night's tragic plane crash
Less than a week ago, Chapecoense forward Tiaguinho learned that his wife was pregnant with their first child. Today, the 22-year-old's family shared an emotional video showing his reaction to the good news, following confirmation of his death.
The striker was one of the 76 passengers who lost their lives on Monday night after the plane carrying the Brazilian club to the Copa Sudamericana final crashed in Colombia.
The video shows Tiaguinho being handed a gift by a team-mate, though at first there was not much thought of it. Then, as the 22-year-old read the message from his expecting wife, realisation hit and he celebrated wildly with his excited colleages.
Tiaguinho, who only arrived at Chapecoense this season, is then seen making a cradling action with his arms.
"Thiaguinho's wife had organised this surprise for him, to tell him he was going to be father," the tweet read.

"A Lamia aircraft coming from Bolivia with registration CP2933 RJ 80 had an accident in Cerro El Gordo, nearby La Union, Antioquia, with 72 passengers and nine crew members on board, who were with the Brazilian team Chapecoense," read a statement from Colombian aviation governing body Aerocivil as news first broke.
"Organisations are currently attending to the situation and are taking injured to different medical facilities in the region."
