The Brazilian defender is dreaming of following in the footsteps of his compatriot, while adding that he's ready to make an impact at San SiroInter defender Juan is determined to prove his worth at the club, and is hoping to reach the same level as Paris Saint-Germain star Thiago Silva.
The 21-year-old recently returned to the Nerazzurri after featuring at the London Olympics with Brazil, and he's eager to make an impact in the new season.
"Am I the new Thiago Silva? I hope so, but I need to work harder," Juan was quoted as saying on the official Inter website.
"He's brilliant, I hope I can become as good as him.
"This is a great team and I hope to become a great player for this club, like [Javier] Zanetti and [Esteban] Cambiasso. I'd like to stay here.
"I'm prepared to do whatever the coach wants. I definitely prefer to play at centre-back but I'm available wherever."
Juan joined Inter from Internacional in January 2012, but has so far been unable to secure regular first-team action at the Giuseppe Meazza side.
