Internacional agree personal terms with Nilmar

The Brazilian looks set for a move back to his homeland, with only a transfer fee now standing in the way of the forward swapping Villarreal for his former employers
Internacional director Cuca Lima has revealed that the club have agreed personal terms with Villarreal striker Nilmar.

The Madrigal outfit suffered a dramatic dip in form this year and were relegated to the Segunda Division after finishing 18th in La Liga, and are now expected to lose their best players.

With that in mind, the Beira-Rio side’s director of football admits a contract has been settled upon with the player and all that is left is negotiating a transfer fee with the Spaniards.

"The wage settlement with the player is already well underway, and we should not have any major problems,” Lima told Lancenet.

“The question now is Villarreal. There is speculation that they will ask for between eight and 10 million euros (£6.5 - 8m).”

Nilmar started his career with Internacional and also played for the Brasileiro outfit between 2007 and 2009, before departing for Villarreal to replace Diego Forlan.
