Neymar: The Juan Aurich clash looked more like UFC than football

The Brazilian starlet was highly critical of the Peruvian club's excessive amount of hard challenges and noted he could have been seriously hurt
Santos forward Neymar has launched a scathing attack on Peruvian club Juan Aurich following his side's 2-0 victory in the Copa Libertadores on Thursday.

The 20-year-old was one of many Santos players who were on the receiving end of a number of tough challenges, with the referee showing only two yellow cards to the Peruvians.

"This match looked more like UFC [Ultimate Fighting Championship] than football," Neymar told reporters after the game.

"Juan Aurich hit their opponents a lot and they only defend. I am feeling worse now than Wednesday [when he twisted his ankle in training].

"If I had not jumped over my opponents five times, I would certainly be in the hospital."

Santos are at the top of their Copa Libertadores group, with nine points from four matches.
