The Santos sensation looks set to seal a move to one of Spain's big two, but the Sao Paulo giants could throw a spanner in the works by making a bid next yearCorinthians president Andres Sanchez claims his side could make a sensational bid to keep Santos striker Neymar in his homeland next year.
Both Real Madrid and Barcelona have been heavily linked with the 19-year-old Brazil international, who led Santos to the Copa Libertadores title earlier this year.
Corinthians seemingly have money to spend and Sanchez says a move for the teenager would not be out of the question.
"It wouldn't be so crazy," he told Lancenet in an interview.
"Corinthians has the money to do it. Not today, but from next year."
Sanchez revealed he had spoken to Neymar during the Copa America, before his side bid for their former player Carlos Tevez.
Nevertheless, he said no contact had since been made with the Santos star, claiming he would first get in contact with his current club.
